Fake it, til you make it...

The following video really struck me and I believe a lot of it can carry over into music in particular the "fake it, til you make it" part.  I'm not saying that amateur musicians should go around and masquerade as professionals charging the going rate without the knowledge to back it up, but rather the feeling of nerves and dealing with them.  Often times we are very nervous before a performance but the truth of the matter is is that you possess the most knowledge about your repertoire and instrument so long as you're not performing for a group of colleagues!  Take comfort in that fact and know that all audiences want you to do well and come out on top. The video is found here, what are your thoughts regarding this?

Website Updating and other administrative tasks...

After looking at the date of my last post I have decided that I must blog more regularly!!  Through out the years I've had several different layouts and setups for my website and it has always been a learning experience.  I've been with FatCow for the past three years now and enjoy it immensely for a number of reasons:

1) It's very easy to build your own website using their numerous templates with plenty of  multimedia additions sure to satisfy your needs.

2) Customer support that is US based (telephone at least) and prompt courteous service.  Whenever I have an issue it is always resolved by end of business and they have extended hours for their call center support system which is nice for those of you that have a "traditional 9-5".

3) Templates that I'd actually use that don't look 'cheap' or too "template-y"

4)  The ability to sell products on your website with Pay Now and Add to Cart buttons.

5)  Did i mention it's easy to use?

6) I'm able to keep total control over the content of my site and update it and my choosing vs paying someone to update it when they have the time etc.

7) It's very reasonably priced and they often will include a free domain name registration with the purchase of a first time plan, which is nice.

8) I just love the cute cartoon cow they have on their website, I'm a sucker for a cute farm animal.
